Pastor Eric Cunningham
Pastor Eric L. Cunningham is the founder and pastor of God’s Way Gospel Church, known for his dedication to ministry and community service. His spiritual journey began in childhood, participating inchurch plays and singing in the choir. Before his teenage years, Pastor Cunningham was promoted to minister to the youth during Sunday services, a role that shaped his approach to ministry.
He continued to grow in the Lord at United Faith Church, where he was ordained as a deacon in 1999 under the mentorship of the late Pastor Donald L. Jackson. In 2001, Pastor Cunningham was ordained as a minister, and during his time at United Faith, he served as a Youth Minister and Associate Minister, while also enhancing his biblical education through various certifications.
In 2006, he joined Faith Temple Church of God, serving under Bishop John L. Hilton in various leadership roles, including Sunday School Superintendent, Youth Minister, Sunday School Teacher, and Associate Minister, further honing his leadership skills.
In 2007, Pastor Cunningham launched the youth ministry "Let's Play God's Way," focusing on youth advocacy, mentorship, and community support. He organized a children's choir of 45 students at Chambers Elementary School, complete with a skilled all-kid band. He also taught Performing Arts at Shaw High School, leading gospel choir performances.
In 2010, Pastor Cunningham received a divine calling to pastoral ministry and founded God’s Way Gospel Church with his wife Sylvia Cunningham. His work emphasizes empowering young people through personalized mentorship and community service in East Cleveland.
Pastor Cunningham is married to Sylvia L. Cunningham, and they have three children. His hobbies include traveling and spending time with his family.
